vision

Vision entails identifying and defining an 'end-state' or main goal for an organisation. Vision is about evaluating a current situation that exists within an organisation and making a decision to move the organisation towards a new, proposed vision. It is important to realise that a vision is there to inspire each key stakeholder of the organisation. If the vision is staid or merely restates a generic objective then the strategy in place to achieve that vision will be equally staid or pointless.

Therefore, the vision of an organisation has to be based on where it wants to be in its particular industry. This does not mean that organisations are unable to move into new industries if there is a strategic reason for doing so. The organisation would just need to incorporate this new industry into the existing vision and strategy.

mbh's vision workshops help organisations to define and refine their vision, so that there is a precise and agreed definition of what the project is to deliver. Vision workshops may consist of various creative techniques, such as:

  • 'call out' brainstorming

  • 'brainwriting'

  • facilitated debate and general presentation

  • creative pinboard and cards facilitation techniques
