Jun 16, 2008 - mbh listed on SA Government eProjects panel
mbh is pleased to announce success in its tender to be accepted on the South Australian Government's eProjects panel. The deed was signed today by mbh managing director Mark Heath. mbh's IT products and consulting services will now be available to all Government Departments and Agencies.

Jun 11, 2008 - Adelaide office fitout complete
mbh has now finished the fitout of its office in Adelaide. The office is located in the heart of the CBD at level 10, 68 Grenfel St. Feel free to drop in and say hi.
The office is supporting our current contracts relating to business case development across the state government, business cases for Department of Health, the whole of government project management maturity model and, most recently, business cases for Bio innovation SA .

Mar 11, 2008 - mbh opens office in Adelaide
mbh is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Adelaide. This office initially will be located in Level 12, 25 Grenfell St, utilising space at our clients premises; Davis Langdon. Davis Langdon have been rolling out UniPhi for the past 6 months and have generously offered us the opportunity to utilise spare capacity while we look for a suitable premises of our own.
The Adelaide office will initially be supported by Rose Kerr, who joins us from the Attorney General's Department within SA Government.
mbh has been rolling out business case capability across government since 2006. This will continue into 2008. mbh will also now be assessing the capability maturity of project management across government with a pilot of 60 participants across potentially 3 departments to be completed by June 2008. Our consulting blog will be commenting on issues and progress with this initiative.

mbh is proud to launch the next release of its unique enterprise portfolio and project management software. The new release has many new features to complete the goal of providing a tool to manage all 9 functions of project management.
mbh has also published a new website for the UniPhi product to support the release of UniPhi 3.0 (see announcement below).

UniPhi 3.0 is to be released on 1st March 2007. New features include:

New PDF rendering of documentation
New rich text editor for editing documents
Procurement and contract management module
Budgeting and cost control module
Updated reporting.

It was a very hectic year for mbh in 2006. Some of the milestones and events of 2006 were:

Collaboration with ILRIC Ltd on their Russian projects
Change management work carried out with Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists
Business Case training delivery at SA Government
Business Case and Project Management training delivery at ASIC
Project management training and facilitation workshops at Department of Education and Training in Victoria
Successful CPA Congress and Centre of Excellence presentations
Research and development in areas such as complex project management, real asset investment, triple bottom line reporting and theory of constraints implications
These successes have led to mbh now operating in 3 Australian states and with a significant proportion of revenue being generated from our international operations.
We thank all our clients for their trust in us and look forward to working with them and many more organisations in 2007.

Aug 01, 2006 - UniPhi 2.0 released!
UniPhi 2.0 has been released with the following features added:
Timesheet module,
change request system,
document management enhancements,
additional portfolio and project reporting,
integration with Microsoft Outlook,
ability to lock down projects so they're viewable to the project team only.
The software section of the mbh website has been updated with details of these new features.

mbh managing director Mark Heath and general manager, training Sarah Quinton are to present at this year's CPA Congress.
Sarah will be presenting in Melbourne on Project Management Fundamentals and Advanced Project Management.
Mark will be presenting in Canberra on Effective Project Management and in Sydney on Business Case Writing and on Managing complex projects.

May 31, 2006 - QLD CPA CPD Week Presentation
mbh managing director, Mark Heath, presented at the 2006 QLD CPA CPD Week conference. Mark's topics were project methodologies and planning fundamentals as well as advanced project management. The papers of these presentations are available here. Turnout was good with 20 attendees in the business case session and a dozen in the advanced project management. The papers were well received Sarah Quinton will be presenting these papers at the Victorian CPA Congress in October 2006.

May 31, 2006 - CPA Presentations at Centre of Excellence 2006
mbh managing director, Mark Heath, presented at the 2006 NSW CPA Centring on excellence conference. Mark's topics were creating a business case and advanced project management. The papers of these presentations are available on the mbh website. Turnout was good with 20 attendees in the business case session and a dozen in the advanced project management. The papers were well received and Mark has been asked to come back and present again at the 2006 NSW congress.

mbh is pleased to announce that it is now a gold sponsor of the Australian Beef Industry Foundation (ABIF). This follows the completion of a strategic planning process mbh conducted with the ABIF board. This process followed mbh's newest consulting product the mbh strategic planning workshop.
ABIF is a not-for-profit organisation focused on developing careers in the beef industry. Its work has led to many scholarship and leadership development programmes being run throughout rural and regional Australia across the entire Beef value chain.

Jun 29, 2005 - UniPhi Launched
UniPhi, mbh's enterprise project and portfolio management system, concludes Beta testing today. We have delayed the roadshow of this software to early August due to the purchase of UniPhi by Bluescope Lysaght. Bluescope Lysaght at Chester Hill will be the first recipients of the UniPhi system. Deployment begins on July 11 and concludes a month later when the full team of Project Managers and Team Members will be trained. Next will be an upgrade for ILRIC Ltd in Armidale who have been using the previous version (methodology 5.0) for 12 months now. They are currently running a dozen projects and are keen to utilise the new features incorporated into this latest release.

Apr 27, 2005 - mbh to launch UniPhi software
Version 6 of mbh's enterprise wide project management software is to be launched in July with a new name...UniPhi. The objective of the software is to bring together cross functional teams working on targeted projects maximising the value of the investments of any company. Added features over the current version includes; risk management system, change control system, fully integrates administration and methodology, integration with MS Project, enhanced look and feel, and an improved template management system.

Jan 17, 2005 - mbh develops partnership with the Master Builders Association of NSW
mbh is pleased to announce a partnership with the Master Builders Association of NSW. The scope of this partnership is for mbh to provide its unique MS Project Introduction CBT course to members. Dates for the course have been sent out to MBA members and the response has been significant. We are keen to further develop this relationship with the MBA and see this as another example of mbh broadening the application of Managing by Project.

Oct 28, 2004 - mbh methodology 5.0 launched
mbh methodology 5.0 has been released! Incorporating all the methodology content of our previous version, this release is a significant change in terms of the integration of actual project management practices. The vision for this system is to grow it into the leading enterprise wide project management system on the market. To this end state, there are many exciting new features that have already been added, including:
- Ability to input and maintain your own methodology workflow, library and templates
- Integrate the methodology with the documentation and issues management of actual projects
- Portfolio reporting and management
- Document management and signoff controls
- Role based access
- Communication and reporting features
- Advanced search functionality on both library content and project documents

May 28, 2004 - Option pricing article published in CPA Australia
An article by mbh managing director Mark Heath has just been published in the May 04 edition of Australian CPA Magazine. Mark looks at the reasons behind investment decisions, and how companies can move beyond "gut feel" decision making processes by utilising option pricing on real assets.
