change managers

Most executives understand that when making big changes in their organisations - deploying an enterprise portfolio and project management software system or optimising business processes - that the largest unknown, and most important, variable is their employees' capacity to adapt to the changes. The anticipated benefits of a major organisational initiative can disappear rapidly if employees misunderstand or resist it.

Organisations and their employees have a varying and often limiting capacity to cope effectively with change. There are two approaches to increasing an organisation’s capacity to absorb more change: recruiting more people, training staff to increase their capacity for change, and adopting new technology to support them; and/or managing the rate of change to increase employees' ability to better absorb it.  A good change manager should focus on the HOW not the WHAT to delivering on change objectives and ensuring benefits actually deliver to target levels.Change managers must be able to effectively ease the burden and inconvenience to employees of adopting the change in order to facilitate optimal adoption of the new initiative.

mbh provides organisations with change managers that understand how best to manage the impacts of change on the organisation and employees; develop or enhance organisations' capability to cope with a change; facilitate the adoption of change; and manage the assimilation process.
